♣۵ This is Goodbye Even as I watch You Leave This isn´t Goodbye I Swear We will Cry

Dea-tráthnóna!

The 6 months anniversary-celebration continues  =)
Today it´s 6 months since we visited Guinness Storehouse, went all the floors up to the top and enjoyed a pint of The Black Stuff at the Gravity Bar together with the awesome view.

There are also 6 months ago me and my Bestie Westies sat in the cinema at Savoy on O'Connell Street, where we would see Westlife's Final Concert ever  ='(  It was an absolutely amazing concert but by the end of it, I didn´t feel not good at all  :'(
The ♥ Farewell speeches ♥... Talk about massive heartbreak!

I was thinking earlier this week, that I´d watched the concert, because I now have it on blu-ray but I left it in Vaasa. I have indeed looked at certain parts of the concerts, like the medley♥. At some point, I´ll have to watch the entire concert, from beginning to end ... It may be next year instead  =)

I thought instead that I would celebrate this day by watching the medley from June 23 on YouTube, but I cannot find a good version, so I therefor contribute with my own film of the medley from June 22, although it is not the whole medley + as found I have a perfect video of Bohemian Rhapsody from 23 June.

Although the whole medley was beyond Kickass Awesome (one of the very highlights of the concert for me!) so was just Bohemian Rhapsody one of the favorites ... It's almost as if it's better than Queen´s version. Hell, it's better than Queen´s version!
Plus, the girl who filmed has focused on ShNicky♥, and we like, no, LOVE that a lot!  ;-)

^^ Told ya, GOOSEBUMPS & CHILLS!

To celebrate 6 months since Croke Park 23 June, I uploaded a long reading on YouTube, it´s from a radio show where you were supposed to choose a song and tell a story around that. You can already imagine what our story was about, riiight? Our Ireland-trip, yes!
Since it´s being read in Swedish, I translated the text with help from Google Translate, so there might be mistakes but I don´t care  :-)  There is also our song of choice included in the clip, I´m positive you´ll recognize it!  =)  Note that the translation is "hidden".

The story itself starts at 1min32sec and it goes on for a long while. After the song has finished played, the radio presenter himself tells his own personal Westlife story. There´s no translation for that, but he basically tells a story about when he went to a footie match and the Irish pub in Vaasa - where Kian was! *hihi* In the beginning of that anecdote, he´s like "I´m not BFFs with Kian but almost" Haha!  ;-)

Here´s the video!

Póga!

Anyways, here´s the translation:

This year, it was finally time, our dream of traveling to the Emerald Isle Ireland would finally come true.

It all started 19 October 2011, when the Irish boy band Westlife announced they were splitting after 14 years. For us big Westlife fan, it was very boring and sad news. It was honestly like a part of our lives would be lost. The guys would have a great farewell tour that would end with the noise and bang at Croke Park, a giant outdoor stage, which takes up to 85.000 people.
Croke Park concerts would go to the bar on 22 & 23 June, ie Midsummer's Eve and Midsummer's Day. Moreover, the very last concert shown live in movie theaters around the world, luckily for (us included) who did not get tickets to the June 23 concert.
As soon as the tickets to the June 22 concert came on sale 16th november, we had to get on each ticket - happiness was total and indescribable.

On 21 June, we sat on the Aer Lingus plane in Helsinki that would take us to Ireland and after a few hours flight we finally arrived. Ireland welcomed us with gray skies and occasional showers. We received them with joy!

Our accommodation during the trip was a very cozy B & B named Almanii. Hostess Mary was the world's nicest and incredibly helpful and friendly - just like the Irish are said to be. In addition, she had an incredibly charming Dublin accent. Every morning we had breakfast, for example, the traditional Irish breakfast, and we were also joined by the charm troll the dog Jolly.

On Friday 22 June it was time for the concert the concert: Westlife Live at Croke Park! The actual concert was absolutely incredible magical and fantastic! The entire audience sang with 85.000 in every song, cheered and laughed! But there were also tears, many tears. Westlife has touched all of us in the heart, they mean a lot to all of us and we have so much to thank them for. In 13 years, we have grown up with Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily and Kian Egan, and it was extremely sad to have to say goodbye to these great lads!

On Saturday 23 June, we sat down in the cinema at the Savoy Cinema on O'Connell Street in Dublin, where the very last concert with Westlife would appear. It was a fantastic atmosphere in the cinema, where with 300 other fans sat and enjoyed a fantastic concert.
But the closer to the end we came, we had to realize that soon it was over. Soon Westlife be no more, and therefore there was no question that tears ran when we with song after song meant approaching the end - the end of the concert and the end of a vital, important part of our life story. When the guys kept their amazing farewell speech and the songs that followed, emotions flooded over completely. The very last song of the concert, it was amazing & wonderful Flying Without Wings.

If you have followed the band for 13 years, it has become more than just a fan. We have not only supported the guys as a band, bought CDs, gone to concerts, bought tour-dvds and all other possible merchendise, been excited by the TV every time they appeared in some TV show, bought the newspapers in which they participated - it has become like a friend who supported the personal ups and downs. It has also been supported through their songs in the personal ups and downs, the moments when it feels hopeless, their music helped to improve the situation ... Not to mention all the great people we met through Westlife, we three girls would not be friends if it was not for them. Westlife and their fans are a family, simply! Therefore it worked extremely well after farewell concert, go to a pub, where Westlife also honored with a special drink and their songs were played. We met other fans and dished to ladsens honor: Slainte! - As they say in Ireland.

Although Westlife was the biggest reason we three went to Dublin, we saw also other fun. We visited the Guinness Storehouse, where we got to enjoy the respective pint of the Black Stuff on top in the Gravity Bar, we visited the beautiful (and star-studded) coastal town of Malahide, we went on a hilarious tour of the Vikings' trail around Dublin, The Viking Splash tour.

The absolute highlight (apart from Croke Park concert of course), we got to be with the 24 June. Then we sat on a bus that would take us to the west coast of Ireland and the famous Cliffs of Moher, an attraction that we wanted to see long, long time - ever since Westlife released the wonderful music video for My Love, which takes place at various locations in Ireland including at these amazing rocks. The tour was organized by MacCoole's, the only family-owned company in Ireland that organizes trips to the Cliffs of Moher.

Its Before, we were walking up the Burren with other travelers from around the world and guides, which was hilarious and told us interesting things about the area. The view at the top was truly phenomenal! When did you really see why Ireland is called the Emerald Isle. Then went on the bus ride on the rocks - oh so we anticipated! The last bit up consisted of narrow switchbacks, curves were sometimes so tight that you lose your breath! So finally we reached the top and the Cliffs of Moher. The view was indescribably beautiful and we were incredibly moved by to finally stand on the top, 214 meters above the ground and look out over the Atlantic. We also had great luck with the weather on this day, it was sunny and warm, the only solar day this summer, as someone joked. It was magical and there are often days afterwards when you dream back.

It has been an absolutely magical trip. Indescribably wonderful. It actually feels a little bit like the whole thing has only been one long, wonderful, magical, fantastic, once in a life time dream. Not to mention the emotional roller-coaster it has been. We will remember the five days we spent in lovely Ireland for the rest of our lives.

We also recommend that everyone else would take the opportunity to visit Ireland, it is definitely worth the visit!
