Heya peeps!
Yesterday, I went the airport to send off 'Tip to Paris. Boy and Noi were there too, they'd driven 'Tip to the airport. Lucky girl, who's in Paris for a week. I'm so freaking jelous! I'll pick her up next Saturday when she comes home.
Afterwards, I went grocery shopping and I had planned to go eat somewhere before the cinema visit, but there was no time. So I went to a café instead, had a caramel danish *omnomnom* and a cappucino.
Then I went to the cinema. I had booked my ticket in advance, so I had to be there 30 minutes before the movie started. What movie would I see? Brooklyn of course. Truth to be told, I had two reasons for seeing it
1) Irish movie
2) Emily Bett Rickards is in it
Now, after seeing it, I love every single bit of it. But... it has to be said, hearing that heavenly gorgeous Irish accent and seeing the Irish landscapes made me so incredibly homesick. Because the Emerald Isle is home to me ♥
Saoirse Ronan is amazing, heartful in the role as Eilis. She's a classic beauty, absolutely. I would hope she wins the Academy Award tonight, that would be absolutley amazing and incredible!
The movie itself is too nominated for Best Movie. Emily Bett Rickard´s role is quite small, she has no longer scenes but she's still... Emily. The music, cinematography - everything was simply amazing in the movie.
I loved the movie so much! I can't believe it was only 15 people in the cinema, like... Huh?
Anyways, I really really really recommend it.

Romantic drama set in the 1950s which tells the story of young Irish immigrant Eilis Lacey (Saoirse Ronan), who moves from small town Ireland to Brooklyn, NY. The initial shackles of homesickness quickly diminish as a fresh romance sweeps Eilis into the intoxicating charm of love in the shape of Italian-American Tony (Emory Cohen).
When a family tragedy brings Eilis back to Ireland, she finds herself absorbed into her old community and being courted by Jim (Domhnall Gleeson). As she repeatedly postpones her return to America, Eilis finds herself confronting a terrible dilemma, a heart-breaking choice between two men and two countries.

Since we're on the theme of Ireland...
